A very handsome banjo that can be attributed to Washburn or Lyon & Healy, though unstamped. The 10" rim assembly is all original and features a rolled tonering, and Washburn typical tapered dowel stick; equipped with five finger tailpiece; small hairline crack on dowel near endpin; original nuts with engraved ends; plating has worn off tension hoop. The mahogany neck has a 24" scale length, with profuse inlay made from pearl and brass, with lovely engraved plate at fingerboard's end; small heart inlay graces the heel cap; some cosmetic marks present on back of neck, and some fingerboard shrinkage is present. Equipped with newer ebony friction pegs.
