Charming three string mountain dulcimer by well known maker A. W. Jeffreys (Staunton, VA) who "made over three thousand dulcimers between 1960-1990". This is a smaller sized dulcimer, just 32" in overall length, with simple appointments. The back and sides appear to be of cherry, with a finely grained cedar top; diamond shaped soundholes, with crude violin shaped peghead. Nice original signed paper label intact, maker's name augmented with "Jr." suffix, with surface scratches, and dings present. Includes nice sturdy hard case.
