Rare and fantastic sounding Vega Tenor Lute, tuned like a tenor guitar, made by Vega ca. 1930. The two-point body is fully-bound, and was made with mahogany back/sides, with a yellowed spruce top; two repaired top cracks near seam and on treble side top next to extension; entire instrument was refinished in nitro, at reproduction pickguard was installed at that time; Waverly "Cloud" tailpiece w/ "rising sun" engraving. The 22-7/8" scale length mahogany neck has an ebony fingerboard w/ engraved pearl fretboard markers; later frets; equipped with Grover Two Tab geared tuners.
