A very nice, early, custom build from acclaimed builder, Collin Vance of California dating to 2011. The 11" pot is finished in gloss black lacquer, with matching burled Maple rim cap, peg head overlay & heel cap. A glossed mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and scoop is designed with a 26.25" scale length. A nice sounding, simple brass tone ring and a 2-7/8" deep pot provide a very nice warm tone; 10 hooks. Spun Mahogany dowel stick, with an engraved badge on the inside with the builders name. Simple No Knot tailpiece and geared nickel tuners with black buttons present. Cosmetically, this banjo is very clean with insignificant wear present, mainly a small ding in its neck profile, and some pitting in the rim which is visible at the scoop. It shows little play time overall with no wear present in its frets or fingerboard. Comes with a soft shell case.
