High quality Cello banjo, Steven Owens of Athens Ohio, built this 14" diameter rim assembly with cherry block construction and curly cherry veneer on the exterior; rosewood cap fingerboard and rim cap; integrated osage orange wood tonering, with Pisgah Hawk tailpiece raw brass tension hoop. The one piece cherry neck has a 24-3/4" scale length ebony fingerboard with lovely exotic wood peghead overlay with magnetic truss rod cover and is setup with geared tuners. Little to no play wear present. Includes hard shell case. From the makers, Instagram account comes this description: I had built this cello banjo for myself. However someone else decided they wanted it. This gave me an opportunity to try something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I’ve been wanting to use my passion to build banjos as a way to raise money for charity… specifically, for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. So I traded this banjo for a donation to St Jude Hospital. I hope to do more of this kind of fundraising in the future."
