An astonishing high-grade tenor banjo with no maker's marks; beautiful pearl work, and unusual peghead shape. The rim assembly features a flamed maple resonator in Argentine Grey with pearl flower on back, and gold-plated hardware; 20 hole flat head tonering; ebony armrest w/ pearl inlay; reproduction Oettinger tailpiece. The maple neck has a 22.5" scale bound fingerboard that features large pearl and abalone squares inlaid into ebony from nut to rim; non-conventional peghead shape (not dissimilar to Trujo), with ornate pearl and abalone work on face and rear; gold-plated Schaller tuners. In fantastic original shape, light cosmetic wear present such as dings and surface checking.
