Completed on 12/19/2000, this is a breath-taking custom build from exclusive luthier Tom Bills, an incredibly passionate luthier who is artistically minded, and is commited to an incredible level of detail. Bills' builds rarely make their way onto the used market, and his wait-list is closed. Somewhat in the Benedetto style, this is a 16" joyously carved archtop with a Venetian cutaway, and equipped with a floating pickup; the ingenius bridge is fully adjustable, and was made from rosewood, with a custom ebony tailpiece. The sunburst top was made with high grade Sitka spruce, and is fully bound in tan maple; highly flamed Big Leaf maple used in the back and sides; small ebony pickguard. The fully bound three piece flamed maple neck has a 25" scale length ebony fingerboard, with 2-1/16" wide nut width; pearl inlay present on fretboard and on peghead overlay (maker's logo); equipped with Gotoh 510 tuners. Condition wise, this guitar was certainly used and shows some typical light surface scratching, some pick wear on top, and finish chipping on lower bout side; no structural concerns.
