Presentation grade J. F. Stetson banjo, distributed by Dyer in St. Paul, and crafted by the A. C. Fairbanks Co. in Boston during their finest period; few examples are known, particularly those with a 12" diameter pot. The all metal rim assembly is fully spun, and features all original hardware including patent stamped tailpiece; light maker stamp present on back of dowel. The mahogany neck has a 28" scale length ebony fingerboard w/ jaw dropping custom engraved pearl inlay from top top bottom; long heel carving; original engraved bone friction pegs.
