Rare beyond measure, this is a Stelling Bellflower tenor banjo made in 1980, that is perhaps the first, if not only, fully-engraved Bellflower model ever made by the firm; stupendous high quality construction, gorgeous aesthetics. The 11" rim assembly features block construction made of Virginia walnut, and is equipped with an archtop Stelling bell-bronze tonering; deeply engraved metal parts (one-piece flange, tension hoop, armrest, tailpiece; fully bound walnut resonator; equipped with pick holder; black oval Stelling stamp present. The one piece walnut neck has an ebony fingerboard w/ pearl inlay present on fretboard; almost no wear on the frets; 1-3/16" nut width beneath the hallmark angular peghead shape; equipped with Planetary geared tuners. Includes original hard case.
