Late period S. S. Stewart, bearing no resembelance to the famous Philadelphia maker. This is an AS/IS 17 fret tenor with an 11" multi-ply rim (some separation near heel), rolled tonering; ivoroid S. S. Stewart plaque present. The short mahogany neck resembles that of Cole banjos (boat heel, peghead shape) and has a replaced fingerboard and past repaired heel. Currently without a head, as we discovered the tension hoop was broken.
