An transitional early instrument from Rettberg & Lange, featuring a 10-5/8" diameter birdseye maple rim with rolled tonering and 27" scale neck. The rim has a 1/2" width, with pearwood cap (some separations present), with grooved tension hoop & old flat hooks; repro No Knot tailpiece. The maple neck has a pearwood fingerboard with some lovely pearlwork throughout; 1-1/4" nut width; deep heel carving, nice soft V profile; binding has cracked in some spots around neck; thin original frets with light wear.
