Regal Willis Conolly Hawaiian

  • Excellent Condition
  • Year: 1930
  • No Case

Most certainly built by Regal, this is a small bodied Hawaiian guitar that was especially branded for "Willis Conolly Studios"; charming, with a surprisingly rich tone. Featuring the commonly seen "squat" body shape, the flat top body features mahogany back and sides, and a ladder-braced spruce top; maple binding present throughout; original celluloid pickguard, and rosewood bridge present. The mahogany square-neck has a rosewood fingerboard, brass frets, and original plate-geared tuners; interesting stain/paint work on the back of the neck; painted retail label present atop peghead with beveled top edge...a hallmark Regal appointment. Normal finish wear such as checking, scratches, dings present, and hairline cracks on lower bout treble side edge/top.
