Simple and beautiful fretless banjo by Mike Ramsey from his Appomattox, VA workshop, likely made in the mid 90s. The 12" rim assembly was made with curly maple with what appears to be a bubinga rim cap (some surface cracks); rolled brass tonering, No Knot tailpiece, classical style maple bridge. The three piece flamed maple neck has an ebony fingerboard, heel cap, and peghead overlay; Saturn and shooting star inlaid in pearl and abalone, and engraved pearl on heel cap; 26" scale length board with scoop; outfitted with Five Star Planetary tuners. Includes custom Harptone case
