Great sounding conversion that utilitzed an 11" Richard Brown rim assembly and an old Buckbee neck. The rim was made using mesquite, and features block construction with rolled brass tonering; later notched tension hoop, and repro No Knot tailpiece; setup w/ an old Rogers skin head that sounds great; crown height on head is a bit off, so the banjo is setup with a tall (3/4") classical style maple bridge. The mahogany neck has an dyed fingerboard w/ 25" scale length; comfy 1-5/16" wide nut; past tuners were previously installed, currently has Champion friction pegs on box, and geared Gotoh fifth tuner.
