A lovely conversion of an original Gibson TB-3 trapdoor banjo to five string, intended especially for nylon strings, with a new neck made by Huss & Dalton, and a new resonator made in the Stelling shop. The pot measures 10.5" across, and features a 3/8" wide tubular tonering; all original hardware including armrest, and tailpiece w/ engraved cover; new resonator made from high grade mahogany with maple binding. The new neck features a comfortable profile, and was built with no truss rod for lightweight nylon strings; made using seasoned old growth mahogany with a near perfect stain and great rim fit; 27" scale ebony fretboard has 24 frets, pearl side dots, and an ebony peghead overlay with small Gibson script logo; equipped with five star planetary tuners and geared fifth.
