Custom built for the late Eddy Davis around 1986, this is a stupendous highly appointed Mogul model from Ome's Zen Artist series; Davis' name is present in pearl inlay on the armrest, engraved into a block at the last fret, and is carved into the back of the resonator with gold fill; an amazing sounding banjo, with perfect playability. The rim assembly was made using hand-stained high gloss curly maple, measures 11" in diameter, and is equipped with Ome's Silverspun tonering; all metal parts are gold plated, and the tension hoop, Oettinger tailpiece, tonering exterior, and pickholder are hand-engraved; custom ebony armrest (some chips present); fantastically designed small curly maple resonator in the "pop-off" style with gold-filled carving on the back; small factory hole for electronics with brass shaft inside. The 19 fret maple neck features a custom 22.125" scale, with a 1.22" wide nut; dark ebony fingerboard with hand-engraved large block inlays; large peghead is equipped with off-set tab gold plated Schaller tuners, with the company's logo in pearl.
