A proud example of an early Ode longneck, serial #1688 indicating it was one of the first #1900 original Ode banjos that Chuck Ogsbury produced in the mid 1960s; aluminium rim bears serial numbers and model stamps. This is a a higher grade Series Forty banjo, which features a fancy multi layer Brazilian rosewood and maple neck, ebony fingerboard and pearl blocks; Model 43 indicates this is a longneck banjo, with 25 frets, and 32-1/4" scale; equipped with original tuners and fifth string capo. The Grade 2 aluminium rim features an integrated tonering; double bound rosewood resonator. Some finish wear is present, and dings. Original case included.
