Well built modern fretless banjo from maker Glenn A. Nelson (Mockingbird Music Co.) built in 2015. Mockingbird Music Company is a full-service music store, luthiery and music school located in rural central Massachusetts owned and operated by luthiers Glenn and Barbara Nelson. Plays with ease with a nice response. Built on a traditional footprint, the 1/4" thin rim measures 13-3/4" across, and was built using modern hardware with US pennies employed for shoe washers inside rim. Currently setup with a 27" scale length, the fretless neck is of mahogany with dark stain on the back, 1-1/2" nut width, maple peghead overlay, and is setup with peghead geared tuners. Comes in a guitar gig bag.
