A fancy offering from Slingerland's May Bell line, this Recording Master features a pearloid and.....more pearloid. The 10-14/16 diameter rim has a flatheadish tonering that flares slightly out from the rim, with exterior skirt; grooved tension hoop with original armrest and engraved Grover clamshell tailpiece; wooden resonator with circular flange cutouts, pearloid trimmed of course. The mahogany neck has an engraved pearloid fingerboard and peghead overlay; large Grover tuners with large pearl buttons present (one has repaired crack); a later piece of abalone is present on board after last fret. Includes period Ludwig hard case. Original owners name is scratched on back of res., dowel & rim.
