Sporting 28 style appointments, and the tone we adore from Martin, we are please to feature this 2003 "Marquis" Orchestra Model. A solid X braced Adirondack Spruce top with incredible straight grained Indian Rosewood back sides. These guitars are highly regarded by players and collectors alike. With a traditional 000-14 fret style body construction, this OM also has the 25.4" scale length and comfortable 1.75" nut width. It has a nice mild V profile, and a beautiful ebony fingerboard. The guitar has a nice and powerful tone, open & airy, but with low end similar to a dreadnaught that'll work nicely for fingerstyle, and beautifully with a pick. This guitar comes to us used, but in very good condition. Cosmetically this guitar shows only mild aesthetic wear. There is mild finish checking present toward the treble side of the bridge, and some inconsequential dings in the top (near the rosette, and one by the treble side lower bout). The saddle appears to be untouched and the action measures an expected 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The neck is perfectly straight, and the frets are in great shape with no real wear present. Comes with the original hardshell case.
