Well-restored example from Luigi Embergher, one of the great innovators and champions of Italian mandolin making, built in 1904 in Rome. Body was made with 31 flamed maple ribs, delicate internal construction, wide grained spruce top, inlaid pickguard, oval soundhole with inlaid rosette; three pearl dots inlaid into the lower skirt. The one piece maple neck has a notable V profile, with simple pearl inlay into the extended ebony fingerboard; both the profile and nut width are very slight; maker stamp present on back of slotted peghead.
