RARE: the fanciest model from this little known maker from Gorham Maine; 11-3/4 inch diameter pot featuring their unusual all metal rim and tensioning system that was issued a patent in 1895; simple engravings on side of tension hoop and on side of flange; mahogany neck with 26-1/2 inch scale and tunneled fifth peg (all five tuners are in the peghead); ornate, pearl work throughout 22 fret fingerboard and peghead; unusual ebony diamonds inlaid on back of neck. This is a RARE and unusual instrument. Some of the plating has worn from the pot.
