Interesting classic-era banjo attributed to John C. Haynes co. This banjo features a unique rim design that can best be described as a metal Ashborn-style pot with a flared-flange. The 25 inch scale cherry neck sports attractive grained-ivoriod pegs and colorful pearl inlays in the pearwood board. The dowel-stick comes to rest in a metal base, and thus does not require adjustment or tightening from the tailpiece end of the banjo. In fine playing order; pearwood peghead overlay has some typical cracking, chip at tip of heel cap, light wear on edge of fretboard. A fine original rarity.
