Built in 1990 by Rochester luthier Bernard Lehmann, this is a classical guitar made on the maker's German form, patterned after a Herman Hauser. The body was made using Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, with a Port Oxford Cedar soundboard; the top has a 6 fan bracing system with a "treble-cut" diagonal brace to enhance treble; rosewood binding with black/white purfling; wood marquetry rosette; rosewood bridge w/ bone inlay; two well repaired top cracks present, and cosmetic wear (dings, scuffs, checking, surface scratching) present throughout. The mahogany neck has an ebony fingerboard w/ 650 mm scale length, and 50mm nut width; frets are in great shape; Indian Rosewood peghead overlay, and equipped with gold-plated Schaller tuners; mild finish crazing present.
