A fine 50's era Kay K150. Checking throughout, but has a nice straight neck, with original hardly used bound frets. Well maintained, with relatively light wear for it's age. Original Klusion tuners & infamous Jimmy Reed blade style single coil pickup that would later be seen in the infamous Thin Twin, with simple original wiring, volume and tone control & original attached 1/4" cable. Judging by this headstock logo, this guitar would be from the 40's but based on the shape itself, it could be an early 50's model. These guitars are very nice and are similar to the K150 or Lark guitar's Kay was producing by the 50's. This guitar has a standard 25.5" scale, with a pretty hefty D shape neck. Laminate Spruce top, with Maple back & sides with painted on flames. Guitar has a weighs about 5lbs. Includes Original Chipboard case! A great addition for any collector, or any archtop enthusiast looking for a unique tone.
