Well-executed reworking of a late 1930's small-bodied Gibson-made Kalamazoo into an x-braced, arched-back, acoustic, super-soaker; rich, surprisingly huge sound. The fully bound 19-1/4" long body is of mahogany w/ an arched back, and 14-3/4" lower bout; conversion to X-bracing utilizing a high grade wide grained spruce top, rosewood bridge w/ maple plate, scalloped spruce braces; cleats and overspray present inside interior of arched back (past crack repairs); plugged holes from former trapeze tailpiece; cosmetic wear and tear & roughness along binding edge. The unbound mahogany neck has a 24.75" scale rosewood fingerboard, 1-3/4" nut width, and light fret pitting on treble strings; silkscreen Kalamazoo logo, lots of cosmetic scratches/dings on neck which plays fantastically w/ only extremely light forward angle; G string tuner button is white.
