The Ramirez 125 Anos was built from 2007 to 2012 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Guitarras Ramirez, and has since been replaced by the 130 Anos & Del Tiempo models. Designed by Amalia Ramirez, the Ramirez 125 Anos is an Estudio model guitar, an upper intermediate level instrument that sounds fantastic at a reasonable price point . Featuring a solid Red Cedar top paired with solid Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, this model has a nice balance of volume, dynamics, and balance between trebles and basses.
This example dates to 2011 and was built in Spain having been completed at the Calle de la Paz Ramirez shop in Madrid. It has a 650 mm scale length and 52 mm nut width. Light bracing, with a 6 fan bracing pattern. The cedar neck is straight with an ebony fingerboard all with virtually no wear. Some light clouding in the finish on the back, likely from climate differences, but nothing remotely problematic - and hardly visible. Overall, it comes to us in excellent shape, with very light use from its previous owner.
This would make for an excellent Cedar option for any advanced guitarist, as well as a nicely priced upgrade for most students. Comes with a nice Humicase.
