Excellent example from the famed Elias Howe Co. of Boston; Howe collaborated with J.L. Orme, Canadian music retailer, on several patents in the late 19th century. Double-cut body features Brazilian rosewood back & sides and an arched spruce top with inlaid pickguard and marquetry rosette; long lines of finish checking present on the top; equipped with engraved Waverly tailpiece. 13" scale mahogany neck with extended ebony fretboard; fretboard makers present; equipped with original geared tuners.
