Originally branded as "Modern Vintage" - It's not hard to see why Hamer guitars became a such a staple in guitar shops in the 80's and 90's. With high end appointments similar to famous Gibson and Fender builds, these guitars are iconic, playable, and sonically inspiring tools to those who have them. This Special model is nothing short of a great players guitar, now sought after in the collectors market. Equipped with the beautifully road worn, thin top of Amber stained flamed maple, and 1 piece Honduran Mahogany Back and neck - this guitar is obviously similar to a Les Paul, but with a lot of perks. Player worn, this guitar has a straight 24.75" scale neck with nice even low action, and a growl that competes with the highest end Gibsons. Road worn, these frets exhibit almost no wear, with only mild buzz that doesn't translate through the amp, and no signs of fretting out. Other specs include Original Schaller tuners, 1 15/16" string spacing 1 5/8" Nut Width, and after market, Seymour Duncan '59 Neck & Distortion Bridge (similar to the original upgraded Customs), replaced pots, 7.8 lbs. Comes with original hard shell case.
