The most desierable iteration from Guild's short-lived double-Florentine'd Studio series, this is a first-year 1968 Guild Studio 303 (ST-303) with original hard shell case. This semi-hollow electric features two Florentine cutaways with pointy horns, 1-7/8" depth, optional Cherry Red finish, and Guild Bigsby tailpiece (standard spec differing the ST-303 from the ST-302); all original hardwear and electronics (small rectangular single coil pickups with white covers); paper label intact inside in great shape; no cracks or structural issues present apart from binding shrinkage on back pulling near upper cutaway; finish checking and scratches present, a few dings here and there, particuarly near lower F hole on top. The 24.75" scale three piece mahogany neck has a bound rosewood fingerboard with 1-5/8" nut width; black plastic peghead overlay with Guild Chesterfield logo (typical shrinking around edges), equipped with original stamped geared tuners; some dings on the top of the neck present; original frets have mild wear on them.
