Considered by some to be the finest twelve string Guild ever produced (apart from the gargantuan F-612), the D40 12 boasts the comfort and workhorsemanship of a Guild dread., combined with a shimmering 12 string neck. The dreadnaught body features mahogany back and sides with an aged spruce top; original 12 string rosewood bridge (brass pins on orchestra level); two hairline repaired top cracks and some on the back, and some cosmetic wear present pick wear on top and checking, enlarged endpin hole from past pickup; light belly on top (currently with bridge doctor installed). The mahogany neck has some wear on the back and has an ebony fretboard; the tuners are gold plated with engraved back plates.
