Recent, but timeless in appearance - This Gretsch G9531E is a unqiue modern take on a classic 00 or Grand Concert guitar. This Gretsch although used, is in great shape with mostly just surface level pick scratches.
The body has a solid sitka spruce top with a nice classic burst finish. It is full bound with a very cool rope style wood binding on its face, and a simple cream along its sides. It has a 14.75" lower bout width. The saddle appears to be bone and with plenty of height (measuring about 10/64" over the top of the rosewood bridge). The bridge pins have a nice abalone dot, which stylistically look appropriate for a guitar like this.
The 12-fret to the body neck is also fully bound, with a classic Martin style inlay. The frets do have some light wear, but the guitar still sings in every register with no noticeable buzzing in its current set up. It is strung with flatwounds - making this very very warm and punchy small body guitar - ideal for recording & finger style. It has a nice 1 3/4" nut width, and the neck measures The action measures about 7/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The neck measures .84" thick at the first position, and about 1" thick at the tenth (before the curvature of the heel). It has a 25" scale.
The E suffix on this model denotes that the guitar is outfitted with a nice undersaddle, Fishman pickup.
This is an ideal guitar for anyone looking for an inexpensive, but very nice looking and sounding 12 fret small body guitar. Comes with a hardshell case
