The 6120 is the flagship archtop from Gretsch - synonymous with Country & Jazz, and the favored instrument to Mr. Guitar himself - Chet Atkins. Here we have a Japanese iteration of the famed instrument dating back to 1990. This guitar has a nice straight neck with low action. This is a players guitar, and does have a mild amount of fret wear for it's age, but still frets well up & down it's ebony fingerboard. The nut width measures 1 11/16", and the comfortable C shape profile measures .835" at the 1st position, and .97" thick at the 12th. The action measures about 6/64" at the 12th fret. The original Gretsch patent filtertron pickups sound smooth and well balanced as they should, and like the rest of it's gold hardware, only shows typical pitting. The Bigsby arm has a little more wear clearly from being handled, but functions as it should. Structurally in great shape, with only typical light surface scratches present. A lovely playing guitar suitable for any player looking to get the classic Nashville sound. Weighs 8.5lbs. Comes with original hardshell case
