Global SG Bass

  • Very Good Condition
  • Year: circa 1980s
  • Includes Hard Shell Case

A nice looking and sounding vintage bass for a fraction the cost! Global branded instruments were aptly named Korean imports, usually punching above their price point in the events that they could outlive most of the rock & punk bands that were using them. Sporting the looks of other mainstream instruments, we are happy to have this SG shaped bass likely from the 1980s. A classic cherry red finish, with the small sized pickguard, this bass has plenty of low end, with its massive neck humbucker. In a further effort to compete, this one is outfitted with a nice punchy bridge pickup similar to an EB2 or 3. On/Off switches and two volume and two tone controls make this an easy bass to dial in. The bolt on neck has some light forward relief, but still very playable medium low action. It has a 30.25" scale length and a 1 11/16" nut width. The tuners have been swapped for Fender style 4 in a line tuners, resulting in the D and G strings work in reverse. Cosmetically this instrument is in good shape with expected surface wear, and mild buckle wear. Comes with a hardshell case, weighs 8.4lbs.
