Original Gibson TU-1 in original soft shell case, made circa 1950s, a substantially built tenor with a big sound; from a very productive era in Kalamazoo. All mahogany body with bound top and back, small rectangular bridge w/ 4 pins; several glued back cracks; finish checking and crazing typical for era. The mahogany neck has a 17" scale length rosewood fingerboard with thin original frets, 1-7/16" nut width; later geared tuners; robust peghead, and very square heel shape; some typical cosmetic dings and wear on the neck. This uke has an unmodified orignal saddle/bridge, which currently provides medium/low action on the neck, which intonates and is true. Original chipboard case with some exterior wear.
