An early example of a Gibson TG-50 tenor guitar from 1934 featuring the transitional small body size (14-3/4" lower bout) with round soundhole. The body is bound on either edge, and was made with a spruce top, maple sides, laminate maple back; original tailpiece and adjustable ebony bridge; typical finish checking and play wear evident; missing pickguard; arched top and back, parallel braces. Elevated maple neck w/ 22-3/4" rosewood fingerboard, frets appear to be original; some wear to back of neck; equipped with Grover tuners; Gibson script logo on peghead.
