From the family of the original owner, this is a clean, original, and fully equipped Gibson A-1 model from 1912. The a style body features red-stained birch back and sides, with a wide-grained spruce top w/ "pumpkin" shaded top; original tailpiece, bridge, and pickguard present; no cracks present, but some surface wear and binding shrinkage present. The mahogany neck has a notable V profile (typical for instruments of this period), has an ebony fingerboard (lightly worn frets), with "The Gibson" in script on peghead overlay; small chip in back strap near heel. Included in sale is later hard case.
