Nice, "pumpkin-top" early Gibson A-3 model from 1914. The fully bound A style body features a straight grained spruce top, w/ red stained "birch" back and sides; includes original tailpiece, pickguard assembly, bridge (added bone topper); back seam was reglued at some point and instrument was lightly oversprayed (typical cosmetic wear present). The three piece mahogany neck has a 14" scale bound ebony fretboard (frets have been dressed previously and show treble string wear); 1-3/8" nut width on the peghead, ebony overlay w/ The Gibson small slant script and curlique inlaid in pearl, original tuners; wear present on back of neck. Included in sale is original hard case.
