The L-7 is a well known player favorite 17" model Archtop used by many in the Jazz and Swing world. Repaired side separation cracks are present, but do not diminish the unique tonal quality of this guitar. Heavy checking throughout, and finish wear. Overall this is structurally very sound, and is a nice player with a newer bridge. Plenty of height remains on the saddle thumb screws. Nice even action, about 6/64" at the 12th fret on the 6th string currently. The neck is straight and appears to have a recent level crown and polished frets, which feel smooth. 1 11/16" nut width, is nice and comfortable and measures .89" thick at the first position and about 1" thick at the 10th position. At some point in it's life, this guitar had a neck mounted DeArmond style pickup, resulting in a small screw hole along the end of the neck at the upper register. There is a slightly more inexplicable hole through the headstock. Comes with original brown Lifton case.
