Impressive and lightweight example of a 1951 Gibson L4-C in sunburst finish. The single cut body is fully bound, and features maple back and sides and a wide grained spruce top; equipped with all original hardware, including tailpiece, adjustable rosewood bridge, and pickguard (some warping has occured). The mahogany neck has a bound rosewood fingerboard, 25" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width; very light wear present on frets; original Kluson tuners present; it appears as though the outer edges of the peghead overlay were exposed to create a binding . Mild cosmetic wear present (dings, scuffs, scratches, checking), but no cracks or repairs present. Included in sale is original hard case (Lifton w/ red interior)
