A favored bass of the 60's and 70's, the Gibson EB line modeled after the famed SG would be seen on many stages by the likes of many from Jack Bruce to Kim Gordon. Here for your consideration is a very fine Gibson EB-3, the upgraded three pickup model, dating to 1973. It's serial number would indicate a general production between '70-75, and its early '73 pots likely place it as a 1973 model. This was purchased from its original owner, a country upright player who never fell in love with playing electric bass. With its super warm, high output pickups it makes it very versatile, especially in conjunction with the Variatone circuit, all functioning just as it should.
Cosmetically this example is very clean with very mild expected surface wear. Professionally setup, it has a straight neck and plays great. This bass currently is set with medium action that measures 7/64" in height at the twelfth fret. Strung with medium gauge flat wound strings.
Comes with the original rectangular (blue interior) hardshell case, albeit, a hair large for this short scale.

40.5mm nut width
