Gibson EB-1

  • Very Good Condition
  • Year: circa 1953
  • Includes Soft Shell Case

First introduced in 1953, the EB-1 was Gibson's first foray into the new and exciting Electric Bass guitar. Made with violin aesthetics in-mind, this bass features all mahogany construction with violin corners on the body; equipped with original pickup and electronics (including brown bakelite p/u cover), missing pickguard; knobs are later. The mahogany neck has a long scale (30.5") rosewood fingerboard; repaired peghead crack (original serial number was sanded off), replaced tuners. Finish checking, scratching, dings present; instrument was completely refinished at time of peghead repair, and some of the corners became rounded; filled strap button holes on side on both sides of heel.
