An exceedingly rare example of Gibson's top-of-the-line Art banjos, this is an un-touched Gibson TB-Bella Voce from 1927 in its original hard case; all original, tone is warm and lively with plenty of upper end power; painted carvings in musical motif. The rim assembly features a unique combination of walnut exterior, and maple interior wall; all of the engraved gold-plated hardware present (model name engaved on tailpiece)...two-piece flange; equipped with a No Hole archtop tonering; original gold label present; walnut resonator beautifully carved and painted; #8552-7 stamps present on rim and resonator. The original tenor neck is straight/true and was also made from walnut; features a rosewood fingerboard w/ fancy pearl inlay; carved and painted heel and peghead back; peghead face features fancy pearl inlay with Gibson slant script; equipped with original gold-plated Planetary tuners w/ large pearl buttons. Age-typical checking/scratching is present throughout, faded paint in some places, and small chips of reverse peghead veneer have flaked off. Original hard shell case is included in good condition
