Fine example of a G. C. Dobson Victor banjo; 9-5/8" diameter spun-over pot with simple rolled tonering, all original hardware including engraved tension hoop, 36 nuts; later No Knot tailpiece; dowel is appropriately marked with maker and model stamps. The mahogany neck has a 23.5" scale length; fingerboard has fancy pearl and metal inlay; peghead have original engraved friction tuners; at one point the peghead ear around high D string was repaired, and the shaft holes were doweled to compensate for past tuners.
