A fine custom built banjo by Ed Fuchs, who was known mainly for his Gibson conversions and signed very little of his work; "pie-plate resonator" w/ interior floral marquetry is currently un-installed and resides in its case w/ flanges. The multi-ply rosewood rim assembly measures 11" across, and is equipped with a Tubaphone style tonering; reproduction Oettinger tailpiece. The rosewood neck measures 26" in scale, and has an ebony fingerboard with ornate pearl inlay (also adorns peghead); equipped with Keith tuners. Finish checking and scratching are present, but no breaks.
