Unmarked Tricone

  • Excellent Condition
  • Year: circa 1920s
  • Includes Original Hard Shell Case

Most unusual, this is an unmarked tricone style square neck resophonic guitar with spectacular dark sound. Notably featured is angular cover plate, beautiful patterned circular cutouts on the top upper bout. We have been told that this guitar was originally made in France. The neck is unlike anything we have seen before with a "wave" shaped recess/cutout, which was cleverly designed to more comfortably accommodate one's leg. The mahogany fingerboard and peghead are fully bound with inlaid fret position markers; original tuners are included in case (reproduction tuners; originals included in case, no modifications to peghead). Some tarnishing and wear is present to body, a totally one of a kind piece.
