Founded in 1974 by luthier Nick Kukich, Franklin guitars have developed a following and reverence in the acoustic guitar community due to company's incredible attention to detail and dedication to craft. Considerably rare, even among Franklin guitars, is this 1983 Style 28 Dreadnaught that we are pleased to offer for sale; a true cannon, with mountains of tone. An attractive guitar, the back and sides feature old-growth Brazilian rosewood, and the top was made from Adirondack spruce; fully bound, the top is also trimmed in Herringbone; small tortoise pickguard, and ebony bridge. The mahogany neck has a 25.4" scale length, and measures 1-3/4" at the nut; Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, and equipped with Waverly tuners. The instrument is in excellent original condition apart from some light play wear, and a few finish dings; light wear in "thumb" area behind first fret. Included in sale is recent Martin hardshell case, with rope handle
