A Limited Edition Nocaster from the Fender Custom Shop - this one is surely a head turner!
An incredible playing guitar with the classic tone Telecasters are known for. In this case, Chris Fleming & the Fender Custom Shop gave a nod to their lineage and dubbed this a "Nocaster". The name Nocaster was the short lived title that the Telecaster had following the name "Broadcaster" (which affected only less than 500 instruments). Now, this particular example features the semi hollow, lite weight design in a stunning an Aged Dirty Blonde White Blonde finish. Although relic'd, it is in next to new condition - and shows no real play wear, but features the authentic looking relic job that Custom Shop at Fender is known for.
The Maple Neck has a nice and chunky C profile, measuring .88" thick at the first position & .97 at the twelfth. It has which has a 1 5/8" nut width and a 9.5" radius - perfect for upper register bends and chords alike. The action is smooth and low, measuring only about 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The relic'ing to the neck is smooth and feels super comfortable, while there is no fret wear.
The special hand-wound pickups sing with clear lows and bell like trebles. The pickups have a nice vintage voiced output thats a little on the hot side, measuring 7.6k in the neck, and 9.0k in the bridge.
Small details adorn this guitar and set it apart from the rest, including a one-ply bakelite guard, ashtray bridge cover, the cool open neck pickup cover (exposing the pole pieces), and all flat head screws (including even the neck bolts).
This is certainly one of the most unique Telecaster guitars we've had here at the shop, and it is certainly one that belongs on stage and amongst a good collection. Comes with the original Tweed hardshell case (G&G with Red interior), Certificate of Authenticity & case candy (including the Custom Shop Strap).
