Please to have a very yellowed Olympic White Telecaster dating to 1967. With the twang that dreams are made of, it is completely original and ready for the next chicken picker. Breezy to play, this guitar comes to us with overall very light wear, and a nice natural yellowing - a truly iconic piece of Fender history.
Yellowed White finish is authenticated by checking present throughout and some nicks primarily around the edges and typically at the elbow. All original hardware, this guitar still sports the original ashtray, Patent bridge and electronics. A fantastic and robust tone as one comes to expect from a 60's tele - complete with the not too common factory dark circuit (or "black guard" circuit - where position 1 enables the tone cut neck pickup). The pickups have a low output which measures 5.79k in the neck and 6.05k in the bridge. This model features the body mounted neck pickup (adjustable under the pickguard). Original Stackpole pots present with accurate codes (30466XX) the tone pot obscured by the original solder joint. The three ply white guard is very clean, and fairly evident that it had never been removed previously. A fair bit of rust is present on the screw heads, but all functions and holds as it should with no serious stripping. Cosmetically, this is a nice clean example overall.
A beautiful neck featuring a veneer rosewood fingerboard with MOP dot inlay. The one piece maple neck has beautiful grain, and some light Birdseye present. Virtually no wear is present in the profile. The neck is straight and plays with light low action that measures a spec 5/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The neck itself is a B nut width (1 5/8") according to its heel stamp which reads 3AUG67B (3 indicating Telecaster, the date, and the width). It has a fairly speedy C profile which measures .86" thick at the first position and about .92" at the twelfth. The fingerboard is in good shape hardly any wear in the clear coat which is in tact. The original frets are present with virtually no wear (see photos). Kluson Deluxe tuners work as they should and are a nice finishing touch to this iconic instrument.
Comes with the original black rectangular case with deep orange interior and Fender emblem.
