Thumpy & punchy in the ways only achievable from a Fender P. This particular instrument is in very clean condition and has a neck date to 1983. Classic Olympic White finish has aged to a cream yellow, and sports the original white 3 ply pick guard, with white pickup covers. Cosmetically it is very clean with hardly any signs of use, less a few scuffs on the very bottom of the body. Original hardware, although a replaced saddle intonation screw, all very clean with minimal rust (impressive for a 40 year old instrument). Pick guard screws have been replaced. The neck is in superb condition with virtually no fret wear. The neck is nice and straight and plays with low action. It has the typical 34" scale length, with the truss rod adjustment at the heel, and rosewood veneer fingerboard. The neck measures about .81" thick at the first position and about .91" at the twelfth. This is a great example of an instrument sometimes overlooked but becoming more and more collectable. 10.3 lbs, comes with original hardshell case (tweed Tolex) with BAM spray painted on its side.
